About us

PehroDesign is a made to order linen studio in India. Every piece we sell is cut and stitched after it is ordered, to a standard size or to your own measurements, and sent anywhere in the world.

Chhavi

Chhavi started PehroDesign in 2018. As a child she watched her mother cut and sew her dresses at home, and that stayed with her. She trained in textile design at Polytechnic College, Delhi, began wearing her own designs, and turned the compliments into a business. She still chooses every cloth herself, and keeps to a simple, very good linen rather than a complicated one.

Our unit

Your garment passes through several pairs of hands. One person cuts the cloth. Another stitches it. Another trims the loose threads and finishes it. It then goes for a final check against the size or the measurements you gave us, and only after that is it pressed, packed and shipped.

What we make

Dresses, tops, shirts, trousers, skirts and co-ord sets for women, and shirts for men, all in medium weight OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified pure linen. Thirty-six shades. Sizes XS to 3XL, and any size at all if you send us your measurements, at no extra cost.

Why made to order

Ready made clothing is cut to an average body and then hoped for the best. We do it the other way round. Nothing exists until somebody orders it, so we can cut to your size, and we are never sitting on stock nobody wanted. One garment, one length of cloth, one person.

We began on Etsy in 2018, where more than 4,500 orders have gone out to customers across the US, Europe and beyond, with a 4.8 star rating from over 1,500 reviews.
